Problem
Without any third-party payment in place, patients are the ones who pay the entire amount of the consultation directly to the doctor. The health insurance and the potential supplemental health insurance then reimburse patients the amount of the fees advanced according to their respective shares.
AXA Assurance had to find an innovative and customer-oriented solution in order to avoid having patients paying health-related costs in advance such as a consultation or medication which can be onerous.
Solution
As part of the AXA Group’s Customer Orientation strategy, aimed at offering customers a better quality of service while reducing processing times and costs, AXA Assurance Cameroun has decided to launch the implementation of its “Electronic Health Card” project.
The SelectSystem® Carte Santé® insurance software solution is a system for issuing health card-based vouchers which main objectives are: dematerialization, quality of service improvement, minimization of fraud, optimization of waiting times and enhancement of the Healthcare portfolio’s profitability.
The Selectsystem® Carte Santé® software suite also ensures a rapid response to the needs of policyholders and the Health Department. It helps in providing statistics for all transactions made.
